By Archero has a number of ways to improve your chances of survival, and one of the most complicated is equipment. Not only are there tons of different options, many of them are viable in different ways. To help you get started on the right track, we put together this guide to Archero equipment, including weapons, armor, rings, pets, and more!

Archero equipment guide: Play to your style
Min-maxers may want to jump right to the best possible Archero equipment, but the differences between options are generally small. All weapons, armor, pets, and other equipment are viable, so to have the most fun with the game pick the ones you enjoy the most.
Follow the guidelines below loosely, but focus on what you like to play best.
There’s one more caveat to mention before we get to the tier lists. For beginners, the best Archero weapon, armor, etc is always going to be the highest rarity option you’ve collected and leveled. Epic equipment gains an additional stat that generally makes them far better than a common, great, or rare.
With that out of the way, let’s get to our Archero equipment guide, starting with weapons.
Best Archero weapon

The first major Archero equipment choice is your weapon. As mentioned above, all weapons are viable, and the best choice for you will depend on your playstyle.
If you like attacking super fast, the saw blade will be the most fun for you. If you prefer slower attacks that deal huge damage, try out the death scythe.
Below is a simple Archero weapon tier list with pros and cons for each weapon. They are listed more or less in order of strength, although again, the best Archero weapon for you will depend on personal preference and your luck with drop rates.

Best Archero armor
For armor, your best option early on is the highest rarity equipment you own. Once you get to more difficult chapters there is a clear winner, although most options are still viable depending on your playstyle.
Once upgraded to rare, all armors gain 20% healing from red hearts, and at epic they gain a unique skill. That said, the base skill is typically the deciding factor for which is best. Here is a simple Archero armor tier list, again listed in order of strength.

Best Archero pets/spirits
When it comes to pets (or spirits), you have a lot more freedom to pick the ones you like the best. You can choose two, and if you have a favorite you can even equip two of the same Archero pet, although they’ll be more difficult to fuse up.
All Archero pets gain the same bonuses at rare and epic, and they all have the same size hitbox when blocking projectiles with the wingman ability. Even so, their damage will be negligible as you progress, so don’t prioritize leveling them over weapons or armor.
Laser bat is the best Archero pet, but none bring significant damage to the table.
Without getting into a full tier list, the best Archero pet is generally agreed to be the laser bat. Not only can its attacks penetrate walls, the projectiles are nearly guaranteed to hit with a near-instant travel time. Scythe mage and elf are also viable, but the living bomb’s attacks are just too slow to provide any reliable damage.
Best Archero rings
Archero rings have very little impact on gameplay, but they do provide useful boosts to help you survive or deal damage. In terms of the base stat of increasing damage, bear and falcon are the only options that work against bosses. Bosses don’t count as ranged or melee, so serpent and wolf won’t work.
Even so, these initial damage boosts are negligible compared to the flat boosts gained at rare and above. This makes the serpent ring the best option, with a potentially game-changing 7% dodge. You can also wear two of the same ring for a 14% dodge chance, which could be the difference between life and death in hectic moments.
Best Archero lockets and bracelets
The last pieces of Archero equipment you’ll unlock are lockets and bracelets. We won’t go into a full tier list for them either, but there are a few things to keep in mind once you unlock them. In terms of bracelets, the best choice for you will depend on your playstyle. The frozen bracelet provides great crowd control at higher rarities, and for raw damage the thunder bracelet is your best bet.
Both lockets and bracelets are worth leveling up whenever possible.
As for Archero lockets, the clear winner is the agile locket, which increases dodge when below 20% HP. The dodge stat is Archero’s only get-out-of-jail-free card, and it should never be underestimated. Both lockets and bracelets are worth leveling up as soon as you have enough scrolls, as they provide always-useful boosts to max HP and attack. Locket and bracelet scrolls are quite rare though, so don’t expect to level them quickly.
